Duties

We are seeking a BMS Software Engineer to join our London team. Reporting to the Design Manager, the successful candidate will be working with an outstanding team of engineers on some of London’s most high-profile projects.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of writing software and graphics.
  • Niagara N4 TCP Qualified.
  • Minimum of two large projects (£1M+ BMS package) or 2-3 years working on smaller projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, high-level interfacing and systems integration, panel drawings, networks/ CNS.
  • Ability to work hard as part of a team.
  • A proactive, solution-focused, problem-solving approach to deliver projects
  • Good maths/ English skills.
  • IT skills.
  • Proficient in Word/Excel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with design manager, project managers, design engineers and commissioning engineers to ensure a good understanding of the design and implementation of the project at all stages.
  • Manage internal and external software and graphics acceptance tests to ensure adherence to functional design.
  • Work with equipment, document and interface schedules, target programmes, commissioning sheets, method statements, functional descriptions, points lists, network topologies.
  • Create crib sheets to assist commissioning engineers.
  • Attend witness and handover tests and out-of-hours work as necessary to hit programme targets.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and scope gaps.
  • Design BMS strategy with energy efficiency in mind.
