We are looking to employ experience officers for the parking role. As part of Lambeth’s drive towards parking excellence you will be required to contribute to the smooth running of the service, present workable solutions to complex situations, and improve on current processes and policies in order to provide the highest quality service possible to our residents and visitors to the borough.

The role requires you to process appeal cases received against Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) or the removal of vehicles in line with Lambeth policies and procedures and in accordance with any legislative responsibilities. You will be required to attend Tribunal hearings in person and represent parking in a positive light. Assist in the management of the debt recovery processes and provide a high quality of customer service to required quality and productivity standards.

You must have proven experience of working in a customer service and high productivity driven environment. We already have a fantastic team who are championing the customer experience for our residents, visitors and businesses.

We use industry leading systems and innovative technology to keep our streets safe, enforce against anti-social behaviour and to provide a range of parking options for people who need access to kerbside space.

Essential criteria

A✓ Knowledge of the key systems used in Environment, specifically Liberator

A✓ A sound and proven knowledge of Parking and Environmental enforcement legislation, case law and best practice.

A✓ Experience of constructing and presenting persuasive cases in writing and in person.

A✓ The ability to deal efficiently with large volumes of correspondence without compromising on the quality of the response.

 A✓ The ability to investigate complex cases quickly and come to a clear justifiable decision
