Work Location:

The main place of work is the Civic Centre, 6 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1EG, however you will have the opportunity to work remotely.  You may also be required to attend other locations within the London Borough of Lambeth 

Working Pattern:

Flexible working hours between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday to meet business needs. 

Eligibility:

Must be a 19–24-year-old Lambeth resident, who is in receipt of Universal Credit.

Department Summary:

Some people need extra care or support, practical or emotional, to lead an active life and do the everyday things many of us take for granted. Adult Social Care provides support and advice for these people. The Adult Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team supports Adult Social Care to keep people safe when they are, or may be, at risk of abuse or neglect.  Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) are for people who are aged 18 years or over, who lack mental capacity and who need to be in a care home or hospital for their treatment or care.  It is the arrangements currently in place to make sure that this is done in their best interests and that their wishes are taken into account. 

This new Kickstarter role will provide support for this important activity/project and an opportunity for Council to bring a new perspective to this area of work 

Duties: 

To undertake tasks and duties relating to Kickstart job role, as directed by your line manager. 

To contribute ideas and suggestions to help progress work more effectively and efficiently.

To work collaboratively with other team members to achieve the aims and objectives of the service delivery

To develop and maintain good relationships across the organisation and with external partners to promote the service

To meet all learning commitments of the Kickstart scheme as directed by your line manager

To support the Quality Assurance & DoLS Coordinator/LPS Quality Manager

To support the work of the DoLS Team, with particular focus on processing all documents

To maintain and update the Lambeth External DoLS SharePoint site with all current DoLS paperwork 

To become familiar with good practice in DoLS assessments 

To contribute ideas and suggestions to help progress work more effectively and efficiently
