As an apprentice painter, you will work alongside experienced painters and decorators to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience. Some examples of duties are as follows:

• Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating (e.g., sanding, filling, cleaning).

• Applying paint, varnishes, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

• Assisting with wallpapering and other decorative finishes.

• Learning how to use brushes, rollers, and spraying equipment safely and effectively.

• Keeping the workplace clean, safe, and organised.

• Attending college/training sessions to work towards your qualification.

• Following company guidelines and health & safety requirements.

• Supporting the painting team with day-to-day tasks on site.

• Educated to GCSE level.

• Willingness to learn and develop practical trade skills.

• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Educated to GCSE level.
