Description

Arriva are currently recruiting Trainee Bus Drivers at their Brixton and Norwood garages to become part of a supportive team and deliver great customer service in the local area.

Duties

To undergo an intensive 3-week training period and theory/practical tests in order to gain your CPC qualification which enables you to drive a bus.
To provide excellent customer service to passengers at all times while safely transporting them to their destination
To stay calm under pressure
To work a full range of different shifts

Essential criteria

Full UK Driving Licence
6 points or less on your driving licence
Deemed medically fit to drive a bus
No unspent drink/drug driving convictions
A passion for working with a variety of different people

Additional information

Pay starts at £11.40 per hour while you undergo your training, then goes to £13.83 once you are qualified.

Hourly rate increases with every year of service up to £17.32 per hour at year 6.
