Description

We are seeking an experienced Dryliner to join our construction team for a project based in Lambeth, London. The Dryliner will be responsible for installing and finishing internal walls and partitions to a high standard, using various drywall systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties

  • Measure, cut, and install plasterboard to form walls, ceilings, and partitions based on project specifications.
  • Construct metal and timber stud frameworks to support drywall installations, ensuring alignment, stability, and durability.
  • Apply joint tape, skim, and finish joints between plasterboards to create a seamless surface, preparing for further finishing as needed.
  • Install suspended ceilings, grid ceilings, and other ceiling systems as required, ensuring precise fitting and alignment.
  • Fit insulation materials within wall and ceiling cavities to enhance thermal and sound performance.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in all installations and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised work area and follow all health and safety protocols, especially when working at height or with cutting tools.
  • Coordinate with site managers, project supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.

Essential criteria

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dryliner, with proven expertise in all aspects of drywall installation and finishing.
  • Proficient in using power tools and hand tools specific to drylining, including cutting, fixing, and finishing tools.
  • Strong eye for detail to achieve a high-quality, seamless finish in all plasterboard installations.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed project specifications.
  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods in an active construction environment.
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations for construction sites, with a commitment to safe work practices.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Drylining, or a related field is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with specialist drywall systems, such as fire-rated or soundproof walls, and familiarity with a range of finishing techniques.
  • Must be IPAF trained
  • Must be PASMA trained
  • Must hold a vaild CSCS card
  • Must be able to demonstrate right to work in the UK (essential).
