Personal Protective Equipment: We provide all PPE (excluding safety boots)

The successful candidate will learn how to install various elements of the internal walls and ceilings of a building to a high standard. Drylining is much quicker than traditional blockwork and plastering and achieves a similar result: a wall or surface is ready to paint or cover. The plasterboard used in drylining can hide pipes and wires, create insulation space, and provide sound boarding as well as fire protection. You will have the opportunity work alongside experienced members of the team learning the trade and assisting in all aspects of drylining.

• The measuring, cutting and installing of plasterboard

• Taping and jointing of the boards

• Fixing boards to metal studs and ceiling boards to metal Frame.

• Sanding down surfaces ready for painting and decorating

• The ability to work in a well organised and accurate way

• An awareness of safety issues, especially when working at height

• The ability to work as part of a team and with other tradespeople

• Valid CSCS Card

• The ability to travel to college and various construction sites across London (some of our sites are difficult to access using public transport)
