OB TITLE: Banksman

LOCATION: Waterloo London

PAY RATE: £12.10 PER HOUR

WORKING HOURS: 42 HOURS PER WEEK

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off

JOB DESCRIPTION

An opportunity has arisen in London for London Waterloo Station Banksman to join our team working for ABM. You must have a full UK Driving Licence

Contract is 40 per week on a 4 day on, 4 day off. This contract includes days, late evenings, and some weekends. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in completing the daily booking in of vehicles using the clients loading bay
• Directing vehicles from the street to the loading bay
• Managing of the vehicle turning process
• Utilise safe manual handling techniques.
• Maintain safety protocols at all times
• Ensure the safe parking of the vehicle in/out of loading bay/service yard
• Promote a safe and secure environment at all times

Person Specification:

Essential

• Full UK Driving License
• Knowledge of managing vehicle flows
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (COSHH)

• Understanding Health and Safety regulations
• Due to the hours of working, all applicants must be over 18 years of age
• Used to working as part of a team
• Used to working to deadlines
• Works well under pressure
• You must be able to understand English language to adhere to company notices, staff briefings and individual instructions provided to you, which will affect your working duties.
• Self-motivated and reliable with a conscientious approach to the Safety and Security aspects of your role.
• Flexible approach to work and able to work efficiently and thoroughly with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time keeping and must be able to work shift patterns
• All applicants must have the right to work in the UK with documentation to support this. Must undertake a BS7858 vetting process
• Carry out any reasonable task requested
• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
