Additional information

Future Forward is a structured employability and personal development programme designed for 16–30 year olds in Lambeth who are not in education, employment, or training. The programme supports young people to build the skills, confidence, and direction needed to move towards sustainable employment, further training, or education.

Delivery combines practical group workshops with tailored one-to-one mentoring, ensuring participants benefit from peer learning while also receiving personalised support based on their individual circumstances, goals, and barriers.

Core modules include:

  • CV Writing & Job Applications – creating effective, tailored CVs and completing applications with confidence

  • Interview Skills – preparation, practice interviews, and techniques to manage nerves

  • Confidence Building & Mindset – developing self-belief, motivation, and resilience

  • Communication Skills – professional communication, teamwork, and workplace behaviour

  • Money Management – budgeting, understanding income, and building financial awareness

  • Goal Setting & Planning – identifying realistic next steps and creating clear progression plans

  • Workplace Readiness – expectations of employers, timekeeping, and professional conduct

Group sessions create a supportive environment where participants can learn together, share experiences, and build social confidence. One-to-one sessions provide space to address personal barriers, track progress, offer accountability, and give focused guidance on job searching, applications, and progression routes.

This balanced approach ensures young people are not just given information, but are supported consistently to apply it, build momentum, and achieve tangible outcomes.
