Job Overview:

Surrey Cricket Foundation is the charitable arm of Surrey CCC. The Foundation looks after all recreational cricket in Surrey and South London and is responsible for growing and tackling inequalities in the game. We also work in our local communities, running inclusion and social outreach projects to use cricket to drive social change.

A new role in the 24 strong Foundation team, the Business and Social Media Administrator will support the day to day running of the Surrey Cricket Foundation programmes.

There will be a particular focus on supporting development of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship, Coach Development Programmes and supporting our facility investment.

The role will also run our social media accounts and lead on production of all visuals used within publications and online. The role is based at the Kia Oval in London.


Duties

General Duties:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support for the Director of Cricket Participation and wider Surrey Cricket Foundation team
  • Support the delivery and administration of the Foundation’s Coach Development programmes
  • Support the delivery and administration of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship, the biggest single cricket league structure in the country
  • Support with the administration of the County Grants Fund and all grant distribution processes from the Foundation
  • Lead on the launch of the Young Leaders in Cricket Programme
  • Assist with the day-to-day financial requirements of the department
  • Act as secretariat at various meetings, included the Foundation Trustee meetings
  • Be responsible for the creation and publication of relevant content via the Foundation’s website and social media accounts
  • Be responsible for growing reach through all social media and publication channels
  • Develop and design publications for the Foundation including designing flyers, producing the end of year report and materials for fundraising events

Essential criteria

  • Experience in a similar role, either paid or voluntary
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of social media and website management
  • Ability to respond to tight deadlines
  • Strong communicator who works well in a team
  • Ability to learn quickly and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Good Computer literacy, including MS Office and design software
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to use their initiative
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately
  • Ability to show discretion and manage sensitive information confidentially
  • Some flexibility around working hours will be required including evenings and occasional weekends
  • Knowledge and understanding of cricket Satisfactory ECB DBS Check, and the right to work in the United Kingdom
