Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Housekeeping Assistants to join our team.

The Housekeeping Department plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control throughout our hospitals and community sites. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will join a dedicated and skilled team, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will be expected to adapt to the changing needs of the service and uphold the values and goals of the Trust at all times.

Duties

  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Having a commitment to carrying out tasks with a great attention to detail
  • Demonstrating a natural ability to work with colleagues as part of a large and diverse team
  • Demonstrating flexibility in your role e.g. providing housekeeping support to other areas if required at short notice, including clinical areas.



Essential criteria

    • Proven housekeeping / cleaning experience within a large and complex facilities services department

    • Good knowledge of housekeeping techniques and procedures.
  • Good customer service skills, with the ability to respond sensitively to patient queries; demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  • A methodical and accurate approach to work activities and capable of following procedures and systematic processes.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working within the healthcare profession or hotel industry.

Required qualifications

  • Good command of the English language, including oral and written communication skills.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Office packages.
