The Bid Leader/Preconstruction Project Manager is accountable for managing the lifecycle of a single bid from the time the ITT lands, through to submission to the client.

• The best method for the project
• The best technical solution aligned to the method
• The right programme to support the technical solution and method

…based on an understanding of risks, constraints and opportunity (technical, programme, contract)

They will work closely with the wider team to ensure the estimating and commercial team for eg have sufficient information to develop the right cost and contract to reflect the method and technical solution

Delivering against pre agreed measurable deliverables, they will engage the wider preconstruction team and support functions and the breadth of experience that exists around the business as appropriate to ensure that all outputs are delivered in time.

In the event the bid is successful, they will manage the transition to the delivery team/stage.

About You

• Able to demonstrate an excellent track record, performing a similar role – or you may have lead projects as a Project Engineer or Project Manager and be keen to bring your experience into the work winning environment.
• You will be passionate about engineering and will be conversant in a range of construction methods, practices and potential innovations within the complex groundworks, basements and structures sector.
• Able to propose and evaluate alternative methods of construction
• Good communication skills – both verbal and written – the ability to liaise and build effective relationships with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders is essential.
• Able to distill down highly technical content into simplified and easier to digest formats where appropriate for a non technical audience.
