Duties

Duties include the following but are not limited to:
  • Install, test, and commission electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power outlets, and other related infrastructure.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and perform repairs on existing electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance with UK standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely project delivery and seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Adhere to all on-site health and safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Carry out electrical installation work efficiently and independently.
  • Responsible for the proper completion of jobs
  • Maintain robust document control for all technical documentation and information.
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve technical issues related to cable route design, identifying risks and facilitating resolutions for any issues raised.
  • Monitor progress to ensure critical events occur as scheduled.
  • Stay updated on specification and technical legislative changes.

Essential criteria

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a qualified electrician with proven experience.
  • Must be IPAF trained

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations

  • Must be PASMA trained
  • Must hold a vaild CSCS card
  • Must be able to demonstrate right to work in the UK (essential).
  • Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment, with in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and fault diagnostics.
  • ECS Grading Card – must be current/in date (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment) 
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations
  • Fully qualified to 18th Edition
