What you’ll do

Coordination and administrative duties related to the day to day running of the Surrey Cricket Foundation Schools and Children’s programmes within Leafy Surrey boroughs.
General Duties:
• Provide administrative support for the Cricket Participation Manager (Schools) in the delivery of the department’s Schools & Children’s programmes as required.
• Main areas of work within this role:
o Lead the administration and delivery of the Foundation’s Chance to Shine Schools programme within the Leafy Surrey Boroughs.
o Lead the administration and delivery of the Foundation’s Primary Schools Dynamos Cricket Competitions & Festivals programme.
o Lead the administration and delivery of the Secondary Schools Indoor Competition programme.
o Work along side the W&Gs dept and the SSCA to ensure the girls schools cricket offer remains relevant and cohesive.
o Support the W&Gs officer with the National Programme girl guiding offer.
o Provide administrative support for the National Programme offer.
• Assist the Cricket Participation Manager (London) with the day-to-day financial requirements of the cricket development department.
• Be responsible for the collation of information and communication to the relevant parties.
• Deliver good news stories, case studies and relevant information for the Foundation’s website and social media channels.
• Plan and host Schools Day.
• Identify and implement opportunities for increasing participation through our National Programme.
• Responsible for the ongoing monitoring and reporting of all aspects of your work programmes to include completion of monthly activity reports for submission to relevant Committees at SCCC and SCF.
• Any additional administration that is created through the role.
• Ongoing and effective diary management.
• Engage with role models to inspire the next generation of cricketers.

Essential criteria

The successful candidate will have the following experience/skill/qualities:

• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Ability to meet to tight deadlines
• Strong communicator who works well in a team
• Ability to learn quickly and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Good Computer literacy, including MS Office
• Ability to use one’s initiative
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Some flexibility around working hours will be required including evenings/weekends
• Knowledge of social media, website management, online booking systems
• Comfortable with co-ordinating diaries for coaches
• Confidence in payroll systems
• Experience of co-ordinating events
• Knowledge of Chance to Shine, All Stars and Dynamos Cricket national programmes
• Experience in communicating with state primary schools
• Experience of overseeing casual coaches
• Clean driving licence
