Lambeth is offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity combining study with professional on-the-job training and mentoring within the Council’s Innovation and Operation team.

Working for Lambeth

Lambeth is a vibrant borough located in the heart of London. We offer modern flexible and hybrid working arrangements, as well as our new state-of-the-art offices in Brixton. Staff are required to work from the office at least one day a week, but this can be increased subject to negotiation.

The apprenticeship

We are looking for talented individuals with a passion for problem solving using digital technology. The apprenticeship combines study towards a Level 6 qualification in Digital and Technology Solutions (or a related field) with a professional role incorporating on-the-job training and mentoring.

This apprenticeship would ideally suit a recent sixth former, passionate about digital technology with good ICT, oral and written communication skills. You will have experience of engaging with a range of customers and demonstrate good team work ethics.

Duties

The role

The role provides the perfect opportunity for you to establish your career on a range of exciting information and digital projects that will enable the Council to develop more efficient and responsive services and to increase its productivity using digital technologies.  It will also develop your skills in writing database queries – developing techniques to analyse data from those queries to inform future business decision making.

As an apprentice, you will be provided with training opportunities to further your knowledge and will be supported by a line-manager and mentor to help you integrate into the Lambeth way of working.

The successful candidate will provide systems-focused business support to address the requirements and responsibilities of the service with regards to general service provision, performance management, monitoring, and reporting.
