Lambeth Events Service is responsible for nurturing, growing and promoting the entire events industry across the Borough. Our goal is to bring profitable events to Lambeth, along with inspiring and empowering smaller enterprises to create sustainable community events.
Our aim is to produce and programme culturally diverse events throughout the Borough which are accessible to all and delivered to the highest level of operational standards. We achieve success by providing the target customer and audience with an experience that is an exact fit with their brand, message or enjoyment within our parks and open spaces.
For this unique opportunity, Lambeth is seeking a highly skilled events professional, preferably with previous experience in a local authority setting. The Senior Events Officer will be responsible for the management of four Events Officers within the Events Team who are all responsible for working with event organisers to ensure the safe and successful delivery of a range of events in Lambeth parks and open spaces. The Senior Events Officer will be the events lead for all major and large events in the Borough, with the support of Event Services Manager as required. The post holder will assist with the implementation of the Lambeth Events Policy and the development of a culturally diverse and sustainable events programme.
You will need experience in complete commercial outdoor event management, live event technical production, event space venue sales and excellent stakeholder management skills. This role is seeking a candidate with vision, ability to multi-task and an understanding of the outdoor commercial events and festivals industries.
The role will report directly to the Event Services Manager and will be required to work weekends and evenings. This is a unique opportunity to develop vibrant community and commercial events in some of the most historic and beautiful parks and open spaces in London.
