Duties

Technical Apprentice

You may be a school leaver or someone who wants to change career. Learning the co-ordination and work flow of all technical information on a live project throughout the development cycle from design, planning, delivery and through to completion. Work on industry-leading projects creating high-quality new homes and fantastic places.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Liaises closely with the land, commercial & construction departments to ensure a seamless transition from design through procurement & construction. 

  • Supporting with land appraisals & future development sites
  • Coordination of internal/external consultants, producing technical details & drawings for the delivery of schemes from design, planning & completion
  • Assisting in implementing objectives & procedures
  • Assist in value engineering elements, questioning drawings & making changes where relevant

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You'll spend two/three years studying towards your level 4 apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You'll begin your journey into Technical Apprentice within the Berkeley Group and, with experience, could progress on to becoming a Technical Co-ordinator. Option of moving on to MCIOB.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSES (must include English and Maths) (Grade A*-C/9-4) essential
  • A Level or equivalent 2 A Level's (Grade A-C) essential
