Duties

Mosaic Clubhouse is an integrated clubhouse and resource centre providing personalised community support to people with mental health problems in Lambeth. Our aim is to create a supportive community and opportunity centre, designed to identify and fulfil individual and collective potential. Members’ work, energy and ideas are needed to make the clubhouse function. Clubhouse members actively participate in decision-making and in all the operational and administrative functions of the clubhouse, and the services it provides to members and visitors to the centre.

The Employment, Education and Information Unit is dedicated to providing members with opportunities to access employment and education opportunities. It also runs the Information Hub, a signposting and referral service aimed primarily at the general public in Lambeth. In supporting members to achieve their vocational goals, the Unit also engages members in a work-ordered day which includes the creation of a regular newsletter, employment and course bulletins, job skills workshops and other unit tasks.

The worker in the Employment, Education and Information Unit will engage with members to support them on their recovery journeys. Principally, this will involve helping members to access the work-ordered day as well as employment and/or education opportunities. This will involve managing transitional employment placements and, working closely with agencies such as Opportunity Lambeth and Job Centre Plus, supporting members with all that is required to make successful job applications for sustainable positions.

This is a full-time position and the post-holder is required to work to the ethos of recovery with the specific role of engaging members and organising the work so that it is accessible to all. • Work with members to deliver information and signposting services for members and visitors via the Information Hub.
  • Motivate and engage members in the work of the Information Hub, identifying and delegating tasks, providing supervision needed by the members.
