Duties typically include:

• Working with experienced operatives
• Reading and understanding drawings.
• Understanding Specifications.
• Able to access the latest drawings via mobile phone
• Installing metalwork for partitions and ceilings
• Use of the correct plasterboard for wall/Ceiling
• Have a good understanding of British Gypsum/Knauf & Siniat systems.(They have websites that can be accessed)
• Gain an understanding on the sequence of construction.
• Use of power tools, IE screw guns, hammer drills, chopsaws, lasers.
• Capable of cutting plasterboard to correct sizes.
• Wearing of PPE is mandatory on construction sites with 5-point PPE, gloves, glasses, hi vis, hard hats, boots. (All supplied by TimK except Boots)
• Attend all daily starts and toolbox talks, generally held at 7.45am
• Understand method statements and Risk assessments.
• Mixing jointing powders to correct consistency
• Applying jointing materials on walls
• Installing corner beads correctly
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Avoid creating dust
• Be courteous to fellow workers and Management.

The ideal candidate should be clean shaven as this will be a requirement for the wearing a suitable face mask when producing dust which though reduced by use of mechanical sanding tools still produces some dust.

Be able to work and take instruction from Management and abide by site rules set out in the Induction.

The candidate must hold a CSCS card and the right to work in UK.
